RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Between 2009 and 2019, 623,439 individuals have been victims of murder in Brazil. Of those, 333,330, or 53% of the entire, have been adolescents and youths.
The info are within the 2021 Atlas of Violence version, launched yesterday, August 31. The research was ready by the Brazilian Public Security Discussion board in partnership with the Institute for Utilized Financial Analysis (IPEA) and the Jones dos Santos Neves Institute (IJSN).
